Every goddamn thing in my life is broken right now.
When I’m not feeling flat and defeated,
I’m actively seething.
I’m even eating this cookie angrily.
Double Meanings, for Real Now
With a higher-pitched tone and widened eyes,
he asked her what she meant.
She said, “Nothing,” which of course meant everything.
He looked at her hard in her narrowed, jade green eyes.
Furrowed brow
Skeptical mouth
He wanted to dig for truth, but he didn’t want to know the
answer.
She glanced quickly to the left and sighed.
He turned on the TV.
